Dorothy L. (Zidek) Brooks

Dorothy L. (Zidek) Brooks, 89, of Penn Craft passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Monarch Meadow Personal Care Home, Uniontown, Pa. She was born on March 24, 1934 in Daisytown, a daughter of Andrew Albert and Mary Dorothy Gajan Zidek.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Glenn Howard Brooks; siblings: Albert Zidek, Mary Ann Stickel, Julian Zidek.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Lisa Carp and her husband Jay of Penn Craft; son, Glenn A Brooks and his wife Julie of Lakeland, FL; grandchildren: Andrew Carp, Lauren Carp, Caleigh Brooks, Joey Brooks; great granddaughter, Harper Collins; sister, Deborah Zidek of Penn Craft.

Dorothy’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staffs of Monarch Meadow and OSTPA Hospice.

Dorothy’s family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 in the Kish Fabry Funeral Home, Inc., 19 Legion Street, Republic, Pa. where a Blessing Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday with Rev. Andrew Hamilton as celebrant. Interment to follow in Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
