Ruth Elizabeth (Lilley) Gillis

Ruth Elizabeth Lilley Gillis, age 91 of Tower Hill 2 passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026 at Lafayette Manor, Uniontown, PA with her loving family by her side. She was born in Luzerne Twp., Fayette County on August 9, 1934, a daughter of Arthur Elias and Sara Elizabeth Ruffcorn Lilley.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lloyd Gillis, Sr.; siblings: Arthur II, Ronald, Donald, Lloyd and Lama.

Ruth is survived by her two sons: Nelson D. Gillis and his wife, Deborah of Allison 2, Robert L. Gillis, Jr. of Scottdale; grandson, Robert Lee Gillis of West Virginia; sister, Mildred Davis.

Ruth’s family would like to thank the staff at Lafayette Manor and OSPTA Hospice for the outstanding compassion and care given to Ruth.

Ruth’s family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, April 16, 2026 in the Kish Fabry Funeral Home, Inc., 19 Legion Street, Republic, PA where her funeral service will be held at 10 A.M. Friday with Pastor Michael Lyons, officiating. Entombment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier, Hill, PA.
